UDAAN stands for United & Disciplined Alumni Association Network. UDAAN represents a set of aspirations that rests in the hearts of millions of former NCC Cadets (NCC alumni).
To facilitate provision of volunteers for social service, medical emergency and other relief work during natural calamities, disasters, accidents, traffic jams, epidemics, national and state emergency, civil defence, etc. either independently or to augment Govt effort, if necessary, in collaboration with other NGOs, civil society and private sector organisations, wherever possible, and thereby foster a spirit of voluntary social service among National Cadet Corps (NCC) Alumni and youth of India.
To harness the leadership qualities, resourcefulness and zeal among former NCC cadets and NCC Alumni and engage them along with the youth of India in such activities that promotes and supports IN Atmanirbhar Bharat, which translates to “self-reliant India” or “self-sufficient India” Education, Healthcare & Nutrition, Communal Harmony, National Integration, Medical relief, preservation of environment, sports & fitness, support and enhance cottage industry, assistance to the disabled, economically deprived, socially backward, etc and doing of all such other lawful things as considered necessary for the furtherance of the above objects.
To harness the leadership qualities and industriousness of National Cadet Corps (NCC) alumni & youth for promoting national integration, making positive contribution to society and work towards building a great nation.
undertake social activities to discourage smoking, drugs abuse, intoxication, dowry, gender inequality, poverty, casteism, corruption, sexual abuse of women, malnutrition, etc and building awareness population on rights and duties of citizens, constitution of India, voter registration, etc
To Assist the government in undertaking survey of population or regions to plan suitable social development programs and monitoring.
To undertake survey, data collection, monitoring, analyses, reporting and pre & post evaluation of social welfare, social service and relief activities by Govt, NGOs and Pvt Agencies.
To Provide a pool of trained manpower to augment training capacity of National Cadet Corps and undertake training of trainers.
To Undertake skill development of NCC Alumni and seek opportunities for their placement and generate employment opportunities for young Cadet Alumni.
To Provide assistance in organizing last rites in a befitting manner of serving and retired uniformed personnel of Armed Forces, especially in places where there is no / little presence of the Armed Forces of the Union of India.
To Organize public functions and national integration awareness campaigns on Indian Military Days like Kargil Vijay Diwas, 1971 War Vijay Diwas, 1965 Indo Pak War and other post independence wars fought by India and similar occasions.
To Assist the State Administration, Police, including Traffic Police in maintaining traffic discipline, control of traffic in a planned & coordinated manner.
To create chapter of this organization in each State of India, and if necessary abroad and if need be register these as subsidiaries in respective State.
To undertake such activity as to financially support and sustain main and ancillary objectives through non-commercial activities and/or raising of funds through Corporate Social Responsibility Funds, Govt Grants, Charity and Contributions from institutions and individual including form foreign agencies.
To raise funds or borrow with or without security in line with the objectives and repay the same. To deposit in banks or otherwise deal with the money or funds of the company and to subscribe for purchase, sell, hold, acquire, endorse and negotiate every way shares and securities of every description on the money market.
To alienate by way of sale, lease, loan, charge, mortgage, hypothecation, pledge, exchange, hiring out, gift or otherwise with or without security, the properties or funds of the company or any portion thereof including the marking or giving subscription(s), contribution(s) or assistance or there wise to charitable institution(s), educational, benevolent, social welfare or other institutional bodies, person(s) as from time to time may deem necessary.
To use all income from the property movable or immovable or from the works of the company as such whomsoever derived for the objects of the company, that no portion thereof be distributed among its members or staff by way of profits or any other form, except remuneration for services rendered to the company or as is permissible within the Act.
To take financial assistance, loan, take guarantee from any public charitable institutions, trusts, societies and other such organizations as the Board of Directors may deem it beneficial and in the interest of the company for furtherance of the objects of the Company.
Promote or become partner or member or invest in other company(s) or NGOs or create subsidiary non-profit or for-profit companies in furtherance of main and ancillary objectives.
To carry out micro finance activities for the promotion of activities as stated in section 8(1)(a) of the Companies Act, 2013
To carry out advisory, training, skill development and related consultation services in areas mention in the objectives and start-up missions of central and state government to assist unemployed youth to become self-employed.
